Add an NPC in LA to teleport chars to Ascalon
well the idea is:
if u bring a Canthan or Elonian character to Lion's Arch (to Tyria basically) and you want to complete the Prophecies campaign you have to get someone to "run" you backwards toward Ascalon and the Northern Shiverpeaks. or you can get a party and fight your way there which can take you a lot of time.
so my point is to create an NPC in Lions Arch to teleport only Canthan and Elonian characters to Ascalon so they can complete the campaign like any other Prophecies characters.
if you take a Prophecies character to Cantha you can get to the small begginers island pretty easily or if you take it to Elona you actually starting in the "begginers island" there. but in Tyria it's just too long to get to Ascalon and the missions in the start...
what you say?

There no reason for this.
You see the reason you start at Kryta, is because there is where Cathan and Elona character start the story from.
They know nothing about Ascalon, because they are born in Ascalon. Ascalon is where all Tyria characters are from, thus the reason they play the story.
The only reason A.net has allowed people to backtrack, is to allow people to get "Protector of Tryia" title on non-tyria born characters.
In short your idea is never going to happen.

Why not? In Elona you land on the Starter Island and in Cantha it's only a few steps away. Only in Tyria one has to travel all the way back to Ascalon to do all the missions.

Because only in Tyria do non-tyrians come in half way through the story.
You come in half way through, you start halfway through.
There's no benefit to go back and do the storyline except a title, and titles are supposed to be worked at to be achived. I'm perfectly happy to travel back, you'd be a high enough level by the time you get to Tyria to not have many problems backtracking anyway.

fighting through all those lvl 8 monsters is tedious, especially such a long distance.
and not everyone does it for the title, some people have friends who sometimes need a hand there.
saying it shouldn't be possible for the story makes no sense. you can do that minister mission and zen dujin with Tyrian chars, which add nothing story-wise.

Sorry sometimes I get bored and run people for tips, sometimes getting absurd amounts like 10-25k And as said by other people, ascalon for nightfallers is not part of the storyline, that'd be like getting a teleporter to ToA

If your character is Canthan, by the time you get off "noob island" and go to Kaineng to make your way to LA, you should be Lvl. 20. Being Lvl. 20, you should have no problem getting to Ascalon and should have either skills to make a decent running build (which you can get in Kaineng) to make it to Ascalon or decent skills to fight there. Its honestly not a long journey contrary to what people may say. And of course, if you have Nightfall, things are much easier than ever with heroes, since they pretty much have your unlocked skills to use. If I'm not busy doing something, I am more than happy to make a run for anybody from LA-Ascalon // Ascalon-LA for no charge (unless you wanna give a tip). I like to brush up on running every now and again. Just look me up in game.

How lazy can people be? It's not difficult to solo run until you reach beyond Ice Tooth Cave, when you run into the Shadow striking Dryders and the dwarves. Once past them, its a cake walk. Maybe an hour at the least, an hour 15 minutes tops.
Just...stop being lazy. If you want Tyria, you know how to get there.

Such a feature would have been a waste of a programmer's time and ablities.

I remember being mildly annoyed getting my Tyrian to Cantha (for the Dragon Festival) and then thinking "oh crap, how do I get to Shing Jea"? And that was *much* less hassle than all the way to Ascalon. Of course it turned out to be easy, but since it's not part of the challenge of the game, it should be possible to sidestep such inconveniences.
It would seem logical to me, that a new arrival at a port might find someone offering maps of the area (i.e. an NPC that marks key locations on your map, so you can go straight to them). In return for cash, of course.
